I am coming back to my art practice after quite a long break. New figurative sculptures are slowly starting to appear. Works are often based on my reinterpretations of the stories, games and characters first encountered when we are young but sometimes they are not. Sometimes I’ve just made them up completely…
I use high fired unglazed porcelain for many of my sculptures and will often combine it with fabric, wood and all sorts of other bits and pieces to make characters varying in scale from a few inches to life size. sometimes draw and gets to know my creations before they appear in paintings and prints.
