“To live a creative life, we must lose our fear of being wrong”, Joseph Chiltern Pearce

I was born into a family of six children, outside Bath and have always enjoyed being creative especially with clay and colour.
After finishing college I decided to move to London to study mime and Dance. During this time I was drawn to Italy and moved to Venice where I studied Life drawing with Vittorio Basaglia at the Academia di Belle Arte. This was a wonderful time in a magical place. During my 6 years in Venice I learnt to make masks and began my own business there, getting to know many mask makers and artists. Back in London I opened JOKA, a mask shop in Camden Lock Market, where I created many original new moulds.
My masks have been used in theatre productions, Television, Film and in advertising.
I am now based in Bath, where I recently took a course in stone carving at the Bath College. I fell in love with stone and want to dive more deeply into the world of sculpture alongside my painting. I live with my husband and 3 children and have exhibited in Cornwall and Bath.
