Daniel Evans

With 30 years of experience in stone sculpture , I have honed my skills in a diverse range of stonework, specializing in headstones restoration of historical monuments and church restoration. My journey began with an Art degree and masonry school, and over the years I have mastered both traditional and modern techniques in sculpting and restoring stone.

I take immense pride in my works each project holds deep respect for the materials and the history behind the structure I restore. Working with ancient monuments in churches has allowed me to connect with the past while ensuring that these cultural landmarks continue to stand for future generations the intricate detailing required in these restorations have given me a unique understanding of stone as both a medium for artistic expression and a vital part of our architectural heritage.

In my sculptures I blend classic techniques with contemporary design, creating work that reflect both the permanence and fluidity of stone. My experience has taught me how to approach each piece with patience, through my art I seek to honour the traditions of stone work while contributing to the ongoing dialogue between past and present in sculpture.
