Young Melmoth
Young grew up in Korea, then lived in several countries around the world for 15 years before settling here in the beautiful Cotswolds in England. When Young first came to London to study 20 years ago, she was full of pride in studying fine art; since then she has kept her passion for art alive, continuing to develop her own styles. Young spent five years in Paris focusing on animal sculpture with clays and pigments, culminating in experiences with bronze works from wax models. She is massively concerned about animal welfare and the human impact on the natural world. Her recent works reflect an underlying tension between human activity and the very survival of diverse animal species on our planet.
